| General Information: Propanolol is typically utilized in the care of adult patients in initiation and maintenance of monitored anesthesia care sedation, combined sedation and regional anesthesia, and intensive care unit sedation of intubated, mechanically ventilated patients, in the induction of general anesthesia in patients 3 years of age or older, and in the maintenance of general anesthesia in patients 2 months of age or older.
